On March 6th, 2008, USA issued one stamp dedicated to John Bardeen.
In July 1st, 1948, John Bardeen, William Shockley and Walter Brattain invented the bipolar junction transistor (BJT). So, this year is the 60th anniversary of the invention of the transistor.
